New Honda City 2009 Side Door Protector Strip

Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to this forum. May I know where can I install / stick the Side Door Protector Strip for New Honda City 2009 (NHC09) ? I saw a photo taken in Singapore that shows Singapore NHC09 has it (as attached). But I do not see any NHC09 on the road in Malaysia has these Strips. I know that European NHC has these Strips install.

Some of my friends say that NHC09 looks better without the Strips. However, my purpose of sticking the Strips is to make sure cars park beside my NHC09 will not scratch or dent my NHC09 side doors.

I wonder if the length of the old City '03 to '08 door Strips will work with NHC09, and if the cost is reasonable. I also wonder if the length of the Civic door Strips will work with NHC09, I am not sure about its costs.

If I manage to bring the Strips from Singapore, is it very easy for me to stick the Strips by myself ? Do I need to apply additional glue or double-sided tape or something else ?

Hi Everyone,

I have done some research and findings:
Old Honda City (03' to '08) side door strips will not work because:
1) Its strips have clips because old Honda City side doors have holes for the strips. If you still want to use these strips, then the repair shop will have to cut off the plastic clips.
2) Its 2 front door strips cost RM360 (RM180 each) and the back door strips cost RM300 (RM150 each). Total cost will be RM850 (RM660 + clips removing and installation + RM150 spray painting, if you do not like the original black color strips).

Honda Civic strips will not work because its 2 front side door strips are too long.

Toyota VIOS 2008 strips dimension is correct, but I feel weird to stick Toyota strips onto Honda, I did not find out its cost because I guess it will not be cheap.

After further research and findings, I installed a very simple, useful and cheap strips.
