due to the way ivtec is designed to work, if i changed it to 5th gear at 4000rm theres not much boost compared to 4th gear 6000rpm. for speed wise its not that fast but distance wise it is. could pull the engine up to 200kmh :D

LyMe,
i'm just answering your question about others experience using the paddle shift usage...or maybe what u mean by 'paddle shift usage' is the usage of 'S' gear position..not the paddle shifter in the steering...in that case maybe the term is wrong hehehe... no offence ok just sharing....

if u can reach 140km/hr in D mode why not in S mode....
it should be quicker in S mode

my fren already test his NHC & it can go till 190km/hr til
the cut off speed start working
FYI if u want to overtake u dont really have to shift to S mode...
u can hit the - paddle shift (in S mode) and it will drop ur gear and
stay there for bout 10sec before it automatically chage back to auto mode...

Its either that the SA didn't explain it to you when you got the car, or you didn't read the manual..hehehe. Its the same for any automatic cars with paddle shifts either be slushbox, PDK, shiftronic, selespeed or DSG.

lol. both ur assumptions are correct. i didn't read the manual and the part where the SA didnt explain to me is because it's not me who actually got the car from the showroom. i was away and my family took it for me. so i guess it's either they forgot to tell me or the SA didnt explain it to em. btw, manual downshifting during D mode is not as fun as during the S-mode. ;)
